Big Tech Companies like TEMU and SHEIN came into spotlight after the loophole expansion for Tariff free Import of goods from China in the last Decade. This also gave a rise to other small retailers too who are offering shipment of goods directly from Chinese Factories at unbelievable Discounts.
This has also started something new, A Big Cash Flow worth Billions of Dollars in Advertising Market which benefitted Social Media Giants like Meta, Alphabet and other technology Industry Giants.
Now this Treasure Trove of advertising may be coming to an end , once the Shipping Glitches have been worked out.
President Donald TRUMP has ended a waiver that allowed Goods worth less than $800 that are made in China and Hong Kong to enter United States of America without paying Import Duties.
This means now for companies like TEMU and SHEIN will have to pay import taxes of up to 145 percent of Chinese goods they bring to U.S.A.
In between all this , TEMU already started adding import duties on some of their products causing more than double the total cost of purchasing and shipment of goods.
