
DEHRA DUN : A U.S. airplane carrying 64 passengers got crashed into Potomac River after a mishap air collision with a U.S. army Black Hawk helicopter while training exercise during the night. Accident happened when the airplane was about to reach Washington National Airport Reagan.
Moments before the mishap an ATC staff at Reagan National Airport contacted the army helicopter: PAT25 do you have the CRJ in sight? Seconds later, new directive was given ” PAT 25 passed behind the CRJ.” “Officials don’t believe there are any survivors in Washington plane crash” said Fire Chief.
There was silence on the radio when they tried to communicate with the helicopter. Moments after when the two collided a pilot witnessing the accident made an urgent radio contact: “Tower, did you see that?”
60 Passengers and 4 crew members were on board that day was confirmed by American airlines.
The army helicopter was in a training flight confirmed by army officials & it was carrying 3 army soldiers at the time of collision.
