If you’ve got an iPhone, MacBook, Apple TV, or any device with Siri, you might be able to get some money from Apple. It’s part of a $95 million settlement over claims that Siri was listening in when it wasn’t supposed to.
So here’s the deal: Back in 2021, a woman named Fumiko Lopez and a bunch of other Apple users took the company to court. They said Siri had been eavesdropping on their private convos — and not just listening, but sharing the info with companies like restaurants and clothing brands. Those companies then allegedly used the data to serve up creepy targeted ads in Safari and Apple search. But this actually started even earlier, with a 2019 lawsuit claiming Apple let Siri record people without their OK, then passed those recordings to third-party contractors for review. Apple did say sorry and promised to stop saving voice clips, but denied the whole ‘used it for ads’ part. Still, in January 2025, they agreed to a $95 million payout to make it go away.
How do I file a claim?

Didn’t get the email or postcard but think you’re eligible for the settlement? You can still submit a claim! Just click ‘new claim’ on the link and fill in your info — like your name, address, and proof of purchase for the Apple device that qualifies you.
